Summary
It is holy month in Turkey, a time when virtues must be embraced and vices rejected. But, as Inspector Cetin Ikmen is only too aware, there are some who prefer to embrace their sins, no matter how deadly the consequences. When the body of a young woman is discovered in a cave in the remote rural region of Cappadocia. Ikmen is summoned to investigate. The corpse has lain undisturbed for two decades, and the Inspector fears she may be the woman who once captured his heart. The one thing he is sure of is that someone in this country backwater knows who murdered her and why. But years of feuding and gossip surround this community, and it is soon clear that some locals are using it to stifle the truth and lead Ikmen on a far from merry dance.
