| Summary |
Set in early 20th century Tennessee, Catherine Marshall's saga of pioneering teacher Christy Huddleston captured the hearts of readers the world over. Her journey as a wide-eyed newcomer to the Appalachian region to teach impoverished children and influence the Quaker community is one of enlightenment and inspiration.
