Coast NZ returns, continuing its exploration of the panoramic beauty and history of New Zealand's coastline. This time the new six-part series ventures to Stewart Island, and takes in the West Coast of the South Island, plus Christchurch and Banks Peninsula. In the North Island Taranaki, Hawkes Bay and Coromandel feature in the one hour episodes. Acclaimed Scottish archaeologist, historian, author and broadcaster Neil Oliver comes back to Aotearora to lead this epic exploration of the coast. Along the way he investigates the origins of the New Zealand accent, uncovers a coastal love affair and takes part in a beach game like no other. |
