Summary
This is Kaiya Stone's story of living with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia and dyspraxia, being diagnosed in early adulthood while studying Classics at Oxford and becoming a writer, actor, filmmaker and teacher. Everything is going to be K.O. is a humorous and uplifting book for a community looking for information, representation and positivity. Kaiya Stone is a writer, filmmaker and performer. When studying at Oxford university she failed a set of exams and consequently was diagnosed with dyslexia and dyspraxia. Following a long, futile search for appropriate resources and support she resolved to make the work she was looking for! This book is an adaption of her one-person show of the same name. The show had a sold out run in London and Oxford, then ran at the Pleasance for Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She garnered a slew of 4 and 5 star reviews. In January 2018, Kaiya made a short film about her experiences with her adult diagnosis. Across all platforms it has over 25k views. Her story was picked up by i, Metro, Evening Standard and the BBC.
