Summary |
Lissa is home on her own one afternoon when a stranger turns up on her doorstep carrying a baby. After her initial shock, she realises the stranger and baby desperately need her help. Reed and baby Mercy are on the run and his parents are trying to find him. He's trying to find out who he really is and thinks Lissa's mum might have the answer to all his questions. But, he's got the added complication of having to look after a baby - not something your average 13 year old knows how to handle. Reed's appearance stirs up some untold histories in Lissa's family and suddenly she's having to scrape through her past - all the while her brother is dealing with a devastating secret of his own. A moving coming of age story about finding out who you are in the face of crisis and change. |
