| Summary |
Five years ago 39 year old teacher Sally Wright (Katherine Kelly, Liar) was convicted of murder of her 14-year-old student. As Innocent Season 2 begins, Sally is finally free... her guilty verdict overturned in the face of incontrovertible evidence proving her innocence. Life in her hometown has moved on while she has spent the last 5 years in prison. Her ex-husband is about to remarry, her friends have new lives, and her dementia suffering mother can no longer remember her. Pulsing against the enquiry is Sally's quest for justice, her determination get her job back and above all else, the man that was once her husband. As the police enquiry increases in intensity, at each turn deeply buried secrets and hostilities surface which threaten to fracture and destroy the lives and relationships of the increasingly fragile suspects caught up in its maelstrom. Can she find the real killer and prove her innocent? |
