Summary In 1950, a US Airforce troop plane left Anchorage for Montana with 44 people on board. It disappeared without a trace. To this day, no sign of the aircraft or its passengers has ever been found. The US Air Force staged one huge, unsuccessful search operation immediately after the plane was lost but found nothing and never went back. Even in the massive expanse of the Yukon wilderness, it would be hard to hide a large plane that big. Is it in a lake? At the bottom of a valley? Crashed into the mountains? This documentary explores one the world's most incredible unsolved mysteries, set against a spectacular and deadly landscape, with a cast of fascinating and often heartbreaking characters.
