Summary Martin is reacquainted with his other aunt, Ruth Ellingham, a forensic psychiatrist and we meet a new character in the shape of Morwenna Newcross, who takes over as surgery receptionist. Bert is close to bankruptcy and has to borrow money from a loan shark, Al embarks on new challenges when he takes over the running of Ruths farm and Penhale is surprised by the return of his ex-wife. There are many questions for both Martin and Louisa, how will they cope as working parents, can they bridge the gaps in their relationship and stay together as a family unit, and most pressing of all, when will they agree on what to call their son?
