| Summary |
While investigating what appears to be the routine death of a computer hacker in London, partners and enemies, Charlie Hicks and Elaine Renko, inadvertently stumble upon proof that the world is facing certain destruction -- in only five years. This is a terrifying reality that the secret state is urgently attempting to suppress. As Hicks and Renko find themselves pursued by ruthless Security Service operatives, who are willing to kill them in order to keep them silent, they must use all their ingenuity to protect themselves and those that they love. In the wake of the classified contents of the dossier being made public via a newspaper article, the story is discredited as a hoax and fear largely subsides -- but the story never entirely goes away. And as the murderers, the abusers, the serial killers, the cult leaders start to come out of the woodwork, it's up to Hick and Renko to take them down. But what is justice in the face of Armageddon? |
