Summary A sheep grazier acquires the rights to land in near-desert country adjacent to a reliable source of water. Unfortunately the water is needed by the Aboriginal people already living there, but the new settlers are not prepared to allow them to stay. Conflict soon occurs. A government official, who is somewhat sympathetic to the plight of the original inhabitants, but has to enforce stupid decisions from his superiors, has to come to the aid of the settlers. Finally some compromise is sorted out, where the Aboriginal people are employed to help raise the livestock.
