Summary The 1976 Bathurst classic saw an emotion-charged victory for privateer Bob Morris and Brit John Fitzpatrick as their crippled Torana L34 limped to the line in front of a spell-bound nationwide viewing audience. Now available is much of the action from this emotion-charged race, five hours of the available race day vision from the Seven Sport archives of this memorable Mount Panorama endurance race in this special release DVD hosted by Aaron Noonan. The cameras kept filming during the commercial breaks too, meaning this title includes a range of never-before-seen material from the '76 classic. This was at the height of the sensational 1970s as the likes of Peter Brock, Colin Bond, John Harvey and Allan Grice piloted Holden Toranas against the horde of Fords led by Allan Moffat. Throw in the appearance of Grand Prix racing legends Jack Brabham and Stirling Moss and the 1976 Bathurst race was packed with big names that culminated in an emotional finish. This release is a must for fans of the golden era of Australian touring car racing with a hunger for new material covering the traditional Holden versus Ford fight.
